Willis International has appointed Tim Wright as its CEO.

Wright, replaces the current CEO, David Margrett, who is leaving Willis to pursue other interests.

Sarah Turvill, chairman of Willis International who has led the unit over the past ten years will remain in post and work closely with Wright in his new role.

Wright joined Willis in 2008 as the Group COO, with over 20 years of international experience in insurance and financial services.

Since 2008, he has worked closely with Joe Plumeri, the chairman and CEO and Grahame Millwater, group president.

Plumeri and Millwater will take over Wright’s duties at COO.

Turvill said: “As someone who has already worked in many of the countries in which we operate, Tim already has a deep understanding of the micro and macroeconomic forces that drive progress in all parts of the world.”

Wright described his new position as ‘the best job I could have in the group’.
