Boston-based consulting and brokerage firm Spring Insurance Group has announced that, with effect from 1 November last year, it had completed the acquisition of MDS Insurance Services (MDIS), a Massachusetts insurance brokerage agency.
George W Gonser, former CEO of MDIS, who was involved in negotiating the acquisition of the brokerage in November 2009, has joined Spring Insurance as CEO.
MDIS provides insurance products and services to the dentistry and optometry sectors.
In the announcement, Spring Insurance Group said MDIS would continue to service dentists and all other clients of the insurer from its Westborough, Massachusetts location.
