Aon Corporation and Hewitt Associates announced on 12 July that the boards of both companies approved an agreement under which Hewitt will merge with a subsidiary of Aon.   Following the close of the transaction, Aon said it intends to integrate Hewitt with existing consulting and outsourcing operation Aon Consulting and to operate the segment globally under the newly-created Aon Hewitt brand.   In addition, Russ Fradin, chairman and CEO of Hewitt, will serve as chairman and CEO of Aon Hewitt, reporting to Greg Case, CEO of Aon Corporation (pictured).   The merger between&source=Captive+Reivew">Linked In
